PROJECT OVERVIEW

The new Annenberg Public Policy Center, located on the University of Pennsylvania campus, is one of the many Penn projects that JPC Group, Inc. is involved in. The first phase of this job was the demolition of the Hillel building located between the Charles Addams and ARCH buildings on 36 th street. Given the close proximity of these buildings, demolition methods and procedures had to be precise to ensure the safety of pedestrians, while maintaining the integrity of the existing structures. JPC also utilized stringent measures for erosion and sedimentation control to preserve the quality of air in and around the work area.

Upon completion of this project, JPC put all utilities in place for tie-in, backfilled all excavation areas, replaced all pavers affected by the project, and brought the site to grade level for the start of construction of the new Annenberg Public Policy Center.
