PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Queen Lane Filtered Water Pumping Station Project involved the construction of a 17,000 SF commercial building which includes 10,000 SF of mechanical pump/electric rooms and 7,000 SF of office space with conference rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and locker rooms. The building has a reinforced concrete foundation, basement with structural steel frame, metal-decked concrete roof, and CMU block walls and brick/cast stone façade with large window systems for maximum light. JPC Group was the prime contractor for the project and served as the General Contractor and Construction Manager. Our responsibilities included general trades coordination, utility tie ins, electric, plumbing & mechanical coordination and construction. JPC Group self performed all site work for the project, as well as the installation of all major water piping both in and out of the building. The main function of the building is a raw water pumping system that supplies raw water to various Philadelphia neighborhoods
